July 2016 Update Letter

As I was making my usual phone calls for meetings, the Lord had me call up Pastor Gary Uit de Flesch at the Elmira Baptist Church in Minnesota.  Not long after his first "hello" I realized this was a ministry that is in desperate need of our help.  This country church outside Rochester, Minnesota, was once running over 70 in attendance, but now has only the pastor's family and one other family in the church.  Unable to get up that far north until June, I told him to hold on until I could come and talk with him.  So, while on our way back to Pennsylvania we stopped and met this gracious man and his wife.  I was privileged to take this pastor out soul winning in his community nearby. We didn't see anyone saved, but we were able to share the gospel and plant some seeds for some visitors on Sunday.  I pray that we were an encouragement to them…I just wish that we could stay longer to help. Please pray for the future of this church.

Our next stop was Milwaukee, WI. While we were here, the girls and I were able to go soul winning with the Souls Harbor Baptist Church. Pastor Hoover and I tag teamed to lead a 70-something-year-old man to the Lord. It is amazing that we could have such unity in sharing the gospel. You would've thought that we had been soul winning partners for years!

As summer begins again, our schedule is filling up with revival meetings, tent meetings, and church strengthening meetings. These churches take care of us, and allow us to work with them and bring us into contact with new churches that we would not have otherwise met which equals more opportunities to share the ministry!!!

It is exciting to see souls saved in these week long meetings! In Meadville, PA, after the invitation, I was honored to lead a newly-wed couple to Jesus. Praise the Lord! In the same meeting, the pastor's grandson, Zach, got saved following a message God allowed me to bring!  These salvation stories are most precious to me.

I don't know about you, but I have been greatly encouraged by this outbreak of revival in Burlington, NC. If you haven't heard, there is a revival that has started and is now in its 9th week! They have seen God swell their numbers from 150 to over 5,000 people. Now, nearly (if not over) 1,000 souls have been saved, and many lives have changed for the cause of Christ! May we continue to seek and pray that revival with come to our town and America.
Please pray, right now, for us.
  • Pray that we will give our best for Jesus Christ in your stead.
  • That we will have faith that the Lord will meet every need
  • Funds – to recoup from truck repairs
  • Physical health
  • More meetings
  • More churches supporting our ministrye.
  • Church plant in Baton Rouge, LA, starting in 2017
  • Many souls will be saved
  • New church will be founded and stay grounded on a solid foundation
  • Pastor Gary Uit de Flesch and the future of the Elmira Baptist Church
  • Pastor Jim Beach and the Morrison Cove Baptist Church as they seek for a new pastor
  • A struggling church in eastern upper Michigan that needs to be unified as they look for a new pastor.
  • Wisdom – I have a burden to build a place online where pastors who are seeking churches and churches who are seeking pastors can connect. There are so many little sites, FB pages, and emails, but there needs to be one place that can connect these two together. If you know of Independent Baptist preachers looking for a church, please have them contact me
Souls have been saved, and God has provided every time the truck has broken down on us. Three churches have taken us on for support since our last update!  The Lord has been so good to us. Now is not the time to quit. Let's get “in” on what God has for us. We don't have much time left!

God Bless,

Bro Holtsclaw
