Summer time is in full swing. We have been bouncing from missions meetings to revivals to tent meetings and to church strengthening meetings. We have travelled from Chattanooga to Atlanta; Atlanta to Charlotte; Charlotte to Roanoke; and Roanoke to Melvin, Michigan. Then from Michigan to Ohio. Ohio to Pennsylvania. These meetings are all part of our ministry of "helps" to the local church. It is through these meetings that we are able to encourage pastors, see souls saved and to stir-up the hearts of God’s people to obedience and fear unto the Lord. (Haggai 1:12-14)

This is Dillan. {picture} He and his girlfriend were visiting one of our tent meetings. He didn't raise his hand at the invitation. He didn't even respond to the altar call, but following the service, I simply asked him when he was saved. Dillan could not give me a good answer. I simply asked if anyone had ever shown him from the Bible how to be saved? Well, 15 minutes later, Dillan bowed his head and asked Jesus to save him, himself. He prayed His own prayer in his own words. Thank you, Lord, for another reminder soulwinning is still for today.

I want to praise the Lord for the new work horse (truck) He has provided for my family. Many of you have known of the difficulties that we had with our last truck. This truck is doing the job without any complaints or trips to the garage. Well, Glory!

At the first of May, with the help of my friend Pastor Myron McIntyre of Faith Independent Baptist Church in McDonough, GA, we put together a Moving Forward Presentation. Pastor McIntyre encouraged me to put together some information about the current status of the Church, and offer ways for our Independent Baptist Churches to keep Moving Forward in a day full of dying churches. We were blessed with nearly twenty pastors in attendance. The statistics that I collected were staggering and yet challenging to each Pastor to "Keep Moving Forward". Please let me know if you or your church might be interested in having us come and share this information with your people or even to invite your fellowship of preachers for a Moving Forward day.

Please pray:
1 Thank you for your continued prayers for my father John Holtsclaw. After an emergency diverticulitis surgery, three months in the hospital fighting septic and pneumonia, he has finally made it back home with Mom. He is recovering well.
2 Please for some up coming meetings down in Atlanta. The Lord has opened some doors in this area for our ministry of "helps." We are talking with a pastor there that desires to start a church south of Atlanta.
3 Please continue to pray about the church plant in Baton Rouge, LA. There have been some major setbacks.
4 Please pray for the Central Baptist Church in Baton Rouge, LA. They just need your prayers.
5. Please pray for Kelly and I as we continue travel across our land, encouraging the Church to "Keep Moving Forward."
