Follow-up Meetings In Atlanta
Back in the early part of Spring, I made a presentation called “Moving Forward,” in Atlanta, Georgia for area pastors. This presentation covered the status of the church today, sparking a great interest. In fact, several preachers invited me to show this presentation to their church, to make known the need.
I was able to return to these churches in September and help another church with their sound system needs as well. I did all this in 10 days back in September.
Since then, I have been able to share this presentation with several other churches as well as pastor fellowship meetings. Please contact me if you are interested in a “Moving Forward Day” for your church or meeting.
FACT: Only 31% of professing Christians actively attend any church services.
New Church Helps Website:
With some great help from my friends, Bob Hoffman and Sean Johnson, we are putting together a much-needed resource for Baptist churches and pastors. This website has the capacity to become an essential resource for churches needing pastoral staff as well as Pastors looking for ministry opportunities. This site will allow perspective pastoral staff to post their calling and search for God’s will. It is our goal and prayer to get more preachers back into empty pulpits.
It is our prayer to have this site up and running before the next newsletter.
New Church Plant
Where the Lord closes one door, He often opens another. As I shared in our last letter, the Baton Rouge church plant has been canceled. This has left a big opening in our schedule, but the Lord knows best.
A couple of weeks ago I was contacted by church planter Joe Delp, seeking our help with a new church plant in the Mayfair area of Philadelphia, PA. The start date of the church, at the present, is the first of July.
The Lord has already blessed this preacher with a place to meet; and did I mention that it will be rent free? The Lord has worked out all of the arrangements for the building. Now, all that needs to be worked out is the scheduling
Please pray for Bro. Delp and this new church plant. The devil is not pleased with another Gospel preaching church in his territory.
Please pray:
1. Thank you for your continued prayers for my father John Holtsclaw. He has fully recovered and is back to his old tricks and treats.
2. Thank you for your prayers for my trip to Atlanta.
3. Please pray for Pastor Joe Delp, and the new church for Philadelphia.
4. Please pray for a special unspoken prayer request that Kelly and I have.
5. Please pray for Kelly and me for safety as we continue to travel across our land, encouraging the Church to "Keep Moving Forward.”
